About the Doctors
Dr. Howard Black
Dr. Howard Black graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1981. After practicing dentistry in Scarborough for over 20 years, he and his wife Bonnie, the Office Manager, wanted to create a unique dental practice environment that would change the way patients would perceive going to the dentist. Their vision included a spa-like atmosphere with luxurious appointments designed to reduce patients’ anxiety and increase feelings of relaxation and comfort. And so Pine Ridge Dental Centre was conceived.
The result is a highly stylized, technologically advanced facility that is a pleasure for all ages. Dr. and Mrs. Black’s experience in patient management was integral in the planning and design, which supports the newest modalities of treatment and efficiencies in patient care.
Along with the ongoing development of the Centre, Dr. Black continues to enjoy all aspects of family dentistry, maintaining special interest in cosmetic enhancements, comprehensive restoration and orthodontics including Invisalign, of which he is one of Ontario’s highest volume Invisalign certified providers having achieved Premier Provider status in 2006.
Dr. Black is a member of many leading dental organizations including the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Away from the office he enjoys outdoor activities, the cottage and boating.
Dr. and Mrs. Black look forward to meeting patients through their day offering their unique brand of hospitality and personal attention.
Dr. Stacey Stein
Dr. Stacey Stein graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 2006. Upon graduation she was selected to participate in a one year residency program in the dental department at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Dr. Stein enjoys treating both children and adults and enjoys all aspects of dentistry.
Dr. Stein is an active member of various dental organizations including the Ontario Dental Association, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club and the Canadian Society of Dentistry for Children Study Club.
Dr. Stein is an enthusiastic team player who promises to make your dental experience a positive one.
Dr. Adam Maisels
Dr. Adam Maisels graduated with distinction from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario in 2007. Since then, he has been working across the GTA and is extremely excited to join the Pine Ridge Dental team.
Dr. Maisels enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry, and has a particular interest in prosthodontics, endodontics and esthetic restorative dentistry. He is a member of the Ontario Dental association and is an active member of both the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. In order to maintain a current and updated practice, he enjoys furthering his skills through continuing education courses.
Outside the dental office Dr. Maisels enjoys spending time with family and friends. He participates in various sports including golf, basketball, and hockey, and he enjoys spending time outdoors and cycling and skiing. He has a passion for food and cooking and looks forward to further developing his interest in photography.
